October Game Releases - It's Spooky Season!
October taps into the spookiness with these upcoming titles. This month, we have indie developers take the charge with an experimental hand-drawn horror adventure, a sequel to a horror survival, and a first-person narrative set in a creepy version of the Pacific Northwest.
1. Bye Sweet Carole (October 9th)
Bye Sweet Carole is a chilling narrative-horror game inspired by classic animation movies and created by Chris Darril (Remothered series). Follow the last known whereabouts of Carole Simmons to uncover the dark truth behind the Bunny Hall orphanage.
Set in the early 1900s, in an age where the phenomenon of the feminist political movement begins to shake the British nation, young Lana Benton, guest of the eerie Bunny Hall orphanage, is the only one to suspect that her best friend Carole didn’t just run away. The secret correspondence between Carole and a mysterious “French” pushes Lana to investigate enough to find herself surviving, poised between the real world and the fantastic kingdom of Corolla that, under the cruel influence of the terrifying Mr.Kyn, the insensitive owl Velenia, and the ravenous colonies of tar bunnies, is inexorably perishing.
Releases for PS5 and Nintendo Switch.

The award-winning survival horror classic is back!

Desperate to free her of this affliction, Caroline travels to the remote town of Villa Hess and a mysterious clinic nestled deep within the mountains of southern Chile. But behind the warm smiles of the facility’s serene staff lies a sickening truth, and the sisters soon find themselves at the center of an entirely new nightmare…

3. Pacific Drive Deluxe Edition (October 30th)
Pacific Drive is a run-based, first-person driving survival game with your car as your only companion. Navigate a surreal reimagining of the Pacific Northwest, and face supernatural dangers as you venture into the Olympic Exclusion Zone. Structured as a “road-like”, each excursion into the wilderness brings unique and strange challenges as you restore and upgrade your car from an abandoned garage that acts as your home base. Gather precious resources and investigate what’s been left behind in the Zone; unravel a long-forgotten mystery while learning exactly what it takes to survive in this unpredictable, hostile environment.
The golden rule in the Zone is ‘nothing ventured, nothing gained’ — some materials can only be found in the most dangerous places. Be smart out there, and don’t waste time — it’s going to be a long haul.
4. Bonus: Metroid Prime 1-3: A Visual Retrospective (October 28th)
